I signed inter spousal transfer deed. Reason was that at time of buying existing property, my credit score was hampering my husband finances and lender suggest mr to sign the deed, otherwise we can't get loan. My question is if god forbid my husband dies, do I have right on property. We live in california
Hi Guest,
As you've signed an inter-spousal transfer deed, you are not an owner of the property any more. If your husband dies, you won't be able to claim the said property.

Your husband's property will pass according to state law for wills and estates. If your husband has no will, in California, all the husband's property goes to the spouse. Therefore, you would get the property.
