My husband died, our house is in his dad's estate's name. My husband was 20 percent owner, now his sister, who is the executor- paid off the mortgage and wants me to move. Lived here for 15 yrs.
Hi shonnabby,

Is your name mentioned on the property deed? If yes, then your husband's sister cannot remove you from the property. Though she had paid off the loan, you will have claim to the property.

Thanks

Hi shonnabby!

Welcome to forums!

If your name is not mentioned on the property deed, then you won't be considered as an owner of the property. However, you can claim heirship to your husband's share of the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
