My tenant died a few days back. She was the only one on the contract. I informed her family to take away her things. Now can I change the locks?
Hi Guest,
Before you change the locks, you should follow the proper process of eviction so that no one else can point fingers toward you. Contact an attorney and he will guide you with the rules and regulations of your state in case of a deceased tenant.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest!
Welcome to the forums!
If her family has taken away all her belongings and if the lease has expired, then you may change the locks.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
