My husband and I are divorcing and I'm awarded our paid-off Florida timeshare. We do not live in Florida and need to know how to officially transfer the title solely into my name while adhering to any/all Florida guidelines. After my husband signs the Quitclaim Deed, what Florida requirements would be necessary to officially transfer the title into my name only?
Hi Leigh!
Welcome to forums!
The ownership of the property can be legally transferred but it will depend on the type of property record. The title can be transferred either by Deed, Membership, Lease, Assignment, or as required by resort's official governing documents. You will have to contact the authorities of the resort.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

We have recently made a deal to use our florida timeshare as part of a deal to get a timeshare in Lanzarote. What do we need to do to carry out the transfer
Hi Fred,
You will have to sign a quitclaim deed in order to transfer the property in the buyer's name and while you are buying the property, the seller needs to sign a quitclaim deed in your favor.
