If our cabin is in my sister's name, totally paid off, no mortgage due on it and I want to put $ into it for updating it, can she put me on the title as a % of ownership. it is in Colorado

I believe that is quite possible. Your sister can add you to the title and make you a 50% owner or so. Once you are added to the title, you can share the ownership of the property with your sister. You can also be listed on the title as joint tenants and have an equal and undivided interest in the property. However, you need to consult a real estate attorney in this regard.
