how to transfer deed of home to surviving spouse when there was no will

Posted on: 15th Jan, 2011 07:02 pm
i live in texas. my husband passed away 7 years ago without a will. he had no children, but his mom and dad are still alive. i have been living in the house, making mortgage, insurance and tax payments. i need to refinance the mortgage, but i was not on the deed or the mortgage. what do i need to do to be able to refinance?
Hi,

If house is not fully paid off yet, contact to lender tell him about your circumstances. I hope he will help you to get your name on property deed but also for refinance mortgage on your name. You can't owe this home without agreement of lender.

Thanks & Regards.
