My siblings and I have inherited equal shares of a home in Florida that was owned by my father's revocable trust. I am trustee of that trust. One of the siblings would like to purchase the home from the trust and we all agree to it. Can we simply draw up a warranty deed to file with the county registry of deeds, the sibling pays the trust the agreed upon value of the home and I disburse the proceeds equally among the beneficiaries? Can any attorney create the deed, or do we need one licensed in Florida?
Hi Guest,
As far as I can understand, you will be able to transfer the property to your sibling using a warranty deed if the property is free and clear. You can contact an attorney and he will help you in drafting the deed. Taking the help of an attorney will help you in knowing whether or not there would be any complication in this dealing.
