My Mother recently passed away and I am the executor of the Trust. Is recording a grant deed enough to transfer her home into my name, or is there additional documentation I need to provide? Do I need to record something to document her death?
Hi cedratm,
You will have to record her death certificate at the county recorder's office. Once the death certificate is recorded and all other dues of the deceased person are cleared, then you can transfer the property in your name.
