How can I get a copy of the deed of trust for our property who's deed of trust is dated Sept 20, 2002 with First Mangus Financial Corp. At some time it was bought by Countrywide and now is being serviced by BofA? Buyer wants doc to indicate that the loan with First Mangus and Countrywide have been satisfied and no liens against property.
Hi catherinepena!
Welcome to forums!
As far as I can understand, your loan has been transferred from one lender to another. You need to contact the lenders and check out if they can help you with a deed of trust.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Unfortunately, the first lender is no longer in business (Mangus) and the second Countrywide has been bought by BofA. Is there any website that I can use that will provide this? I've heard that the MER database may be able to assist.. any recommendations.
The buyer needs to get a Title Insurance policy. That'll prove there aren't any judgements or liens, and insures them against any other Title related defects.
Otherwise, just pull your credit report from www.myfico.com. That'll show the various mortgage lenders and your current status with them. It'll also show if there are liens/judgements against Title.
