my brother is the trustee of my mother's trust. in 2007 he quit claim deed her house. he is now the owner.then took out a personal loan. in 2009 sold the house to a trust he set up. now he says there is no money in the trust to split among beneficiares. doesn't he have some accountability?
Hi mseo!

Welcome to forums!

If there are other beneficiaries of the property deed, then I don't think the trustee will be able to sell off the property without their permission. Nevertheless, I would suggest you to have a word with a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
