Hi, I would like to know before I type up a form what to type. I am separated from husband and we own this property and now he needs me to do a quick deed. My concern is if he refiance, sale, or we divorce legally, can I type a form that states in this event I still request equitable distribution, and ownership rights then have him sign will this hold up in court and be a legal document. Just tell me what to do so I want lose my interest.
If you sign a quitclaim deed, you would not be able to claim any kind of money from him if he sells off the property. If you want any kind of share from the property, you need to contact an attorney and get such an agreement drafted. The agreement would also require your husband's signature.
