My aunt and uncle are quite aged (around 80 years old). They have been married for a long time as well. The property they live in is in the name of my aunt. My uncle wants to add his name to the deed but does not want to pay any attorney fees. How can he do this on his own?
Your aunt will have to sign a quitclaim deed in order to add your uncle to the property deed. They may visit the county recorder's office in order to do the needful. However, it is always better to take help of a real estate attorney in this regard.
Welcome Guest,
If the property is free and clear, then your can even use a warranty deed in order to add your uncle to the property.
