Discovered my father had added me to the deed in 1999. He passed away July 8, 2008. Contacted the recorder of deeds in MD and they stated a legal document will have be drawn up and titling company involved to remove my Dad from the deed. Since I am on the deed, is it just a matter of contacting an attorney and have them create a warranty deed to solve this matter?

yes, you should contact an attorney and draw up a legal document which will give you the full ownership of the property. however, you should remember that if there is a mortgage on the property, then you will have to refinance it to transfer it in your name.
feel free to ask if you have further queries.
