Special Warranty Deed

Posted on: 09th Mar, 2010 08:02 am
We purchased a beach house in 3/2008. In 6/2008 we did a special warranty deed to include my husband's parents. In 9/2008 the home was completely destroyed by Ike. We have since then built a deck / RV cover (at our own expense) and are ready to rebuild a home. Will his parents still own the property with us ? Is there any way to get them off of the Special Warranty Deed ? They will not be sharing in the expenses to rebuild and we want to own the property out right. Help !
hi tbates,

you can ask your husband's parents to sign a quit claim deed form and remove their name from the property deed. this will help you in owning the property free and clear.

thanks
