my husband and I were married when purchased our home. his name though is not on the title. our home is not paid for and I want to add him to the title. how do I do this? yeah, that's without paying lawyers fees.
Hi Angelica,
You can use a quitclaim deed in order to add your husband's name to the property deed. Quitclaim deed forms are available online but it is always better to take the help of an attorney in order to get the deed drafted.

Hello Angelica,
The deed should be recorded by the buyers of the property at the public records office, which is usually located in the county courthouse.

Hi Angelica!
Welcome to the forums!
If your property is free and clear, then you will be able to use a warranty deed in order to add your husband's name to the property deed.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
