My dad has sighned the deed over to me, with him having living rights! If his wife whom has no ownership of land or home has my dad sent away for six months or more for certain reasons. Could I have her removed from the property?
Hi rodeochick,
If the wife's name is mentioned in the property deed as a owner of the property, then you cannot simply remove her from the property deed. You will have to ask her to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. However, if her name is not on the property deed, then she has no claims to the property and you can ask her to leave the property.
Thanks
