I've inherited property in Houston my mothers homestead. Both parents are deceased the original deed is in my fathers name. The will states I receive the property. How do I transfer the deed in my name?
it's a really nice thing for you that joshua heard is in houston!
let's hope he logs in soon and responds to you.

Hi irishbugs!
Welcome to forums!
In my opinion, your father's will have to probated first. You can take an attorney's help to probate the will. Once the will is probated, you will have to record it at the county recorder's office. This will help you in transferring the property in your name.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
