Have you applied for a mortgage through someone within the community here or what exactly are you referring to? To whom did you submit an application?

Please read this post.

to the new york housing authority

New York City Housing Authority

Phone: 212-306-3000

Also if you don't mind me asking, how were you directed to this community to find answers about your application. Although we are able to answer a large majority of questions posted here, we cannot give status on applications done directly through your local city or state. I hope this helps...

i think what happens is that too many folk plug in "section 8" on an internet search, and (of course) MortgageFit shows up. then, finding that there are links concerning section 8, they simply punch up the question and wait for our answers.

it's a real difficulty here - if you try to direct them, someone inevitably gets upset that we didn't give them the information they wanted.

all we can do is be patient and try to assist in whatever way it's possible.

thanks for jumping in here, james, and being as helpful as you were.

Thanks George!! I kind of figured this site was coming up in search engines when that was typed in.

BTW, I hope you enjoyed the holidays.

still enjoying the season; just dined on turkey, mixed green & wax beans, sweet potato, some merlot, followed by dessert - a milky way so that my son won't spoil his teeth or appetite - and a piece of sweet potato pie topped with "extra creamy" whipped cream.

how can i not enjoy that? and i trust yours has been a delight as well, james.
