I have a house, and still have mortgage with the bank. I would like to add my mother to the property title. How can I do it?
Hi fannie!
You can use a quitclaim deed in order to add your mother's name to the property. You can find sample quitclaim deeds online but it will be better if you can take the help of an attorney. As you have mortgage on the property, you should check out your mortgage docs to see if the mortgage will become due in case there is a property transfer. If yes, then you should not try to add your mother to the property or if you add, you should inform the lender.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Dear Sussane,
Thank you for the information. If I am going to add my mother to the property, could you please tell me the difference that mortgage is payoff or not?
Happy New Year!

Hi Fannie
"could you please tell me the difference that mortgage is payoff or not?" Can you please explain what you exactly wanted to say by this? I am unable to understand you. If you give some details, it will be easier for me to answer.
Happy New Year!
Thanks.
