I am now sole owner (plus GMAC mortgage) listed on my property since the recent death of my husband. I would like to add one of my adult children to the property. Is Quitclaim the best?
Hello Martha,
Quit claim is the best way to add family members to the title.
You have to sign the quit claim as the grantor with your child's name as the grantee and the deed has to be recorded at the county office in order to make it valid.

Hi Martha,
You are right. Quitclaim is the best option for you to add your children to the property. Just make sure to notarize the deed and record it in your county recorder office.
Wishing you best of luck,
Larry
