i would like to add my husband's name to the title of our home. how do i word that in a quit claim deed? we want to show joint ownership.
Hi Oesangel,
Welcome to forums.
You can get a sample quitclaim deed and then check out from there how to word the deed. But in my opinion, if you're wording a deed, better consult an attorney and let him draft it as per your needs. It's worth paying them and getting it done in a better way rather than choosing any deed availbale online with a few dollars. Off-course you may go through the online deed and get an idea of how the deed can be worded but in practice it's better done with an attorney's help.
There's a statewise listing of quitclaim sample forms available here. You may check them out for the wording. By the way, what's your state of residence? just in case you don't find it there, please let me know and i can provide you with a sample form from your state itself.
Thanks.

Usually, you are the grantor and you and your husband, as husband and wife, are the grantees.
