Hello, My dad owns the house my family lives in and the house is under his name due to credit problems I have had, but I would like to know how I can be added to the deed so that I can take advantage of the tax breaks in my state?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hi Archie,
Your father can add you to the title through a quit claim deed wherein he will quitclaim the ownership as grantor to both himself and you as grantees. The deed then needs to be notarized and recorded with the county clerks.
