My husband has been out of work since we got married 6 months ago and his ex wife wants to garnish my wages and go after my home (which I bought prior to our marriage). What are my options? Can I quitclaim the house to a family member?
Sorry...I forgot to mention this is in regards to overdue child support.
i would certainly hope they couldn't garnish your wages - this is not your obligation, right? other than that, i don't know what options you'd have.
