Hello,
I also have a question about a quit claim. My financial obligation to my home was discharged via bankruptcy. My husband wants to try to stay in the home. I am leaving. If i remove my name from the deed via quit claim, and the house eventually goes into foreclosure, will the foreclosure still show up on my credit report?

Hi kimmie!
Welcome to the forums!
Though you quitclaim deed, the mortgage will still remain in your name. In that case, the foreclosure will show up in your credit report.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

If my mortgage has been discharged and i file a quit claim deed removing me from the title, will the foreclosure show up on my credit report?
Hi kimmie,
I agree with Sussane's opinion. If a foreclosure on your property takes place, then the lender can definitely report it to the credit bureaus.

If you are not on the mortgage or title, you should not be a named party in the foreclosure, and the foreclosure should not be reported to the credit agencies as part of your credit history.
