Quit Claim

Posted on: 12th Oct, 2009 11:54 am
I'm buying a house and the lender wants my husband (who is disabled & I have POA) to sign a quit claim. Down the road if something should happen I want my husband to be protected and not put out on the street. After the purchase of the home is final can I put him back onto title of the house with confidence that he is protected and if so how would I do that?
you cna do a quit claim deed and add your husbands name on the house. but any such changes needs to be communicated to the lender

another option is you cna always have a will and have everythign docuemnted legally and properly

Hi Cindy!

Welcome to forums!

You can draft a will and declare your husband to be the beneficiary of the property. In case of your death, he will have to probate the will and transfer the property in his name.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
