Once a grantor signs a quitclaim deed, does the grantor own

My Mother wants to give me her property now rather than wait for her death. If she were to quitclaim deed her condo to me, does this property show as assets for her or are they now mine?
Hi briankimball!

You will be the owner of the property once she quitclaims it to you. However, if she includes the clause of life estate in the quitclaim deed, then she will be able to stay in the property until death. To know more about quit claim deed, check the information available here.

Thanks

Hi CORA!

Welcome to forums!

You are the grantor of the property. This means you are the seller of the property. And the grantee is the buyer of the property. As far as you have mentioned, I guess someone called Ethel is the grantee to the property.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
