Quick Deed and death

Posted on: 21st Jan, 2009 10:11 am
I have a friend who recently passed away and she has a condo and her mother's name is also on the deed to the house and the loan. She had wanted her mother's name removed and have the condo added into her trust for her son. Is there any way that the executor of the will and her son's trust can do a quick deed to add herself onto the condo and have it added into the trust for the son?
Welcome Jemini,

If it has been mentioned in her will, then once the will is probated, the condo can be transferred in her son's name. If it's not mentioned in the will, then I think it will difficult for the son to add his name to condo. However, if your deceased friend's mother agrees to it, then the son's name can be added.
