Hi, can i please get some advice? My cousin bought 2 properties and on the deed there where 2 couples that signed. The third individual was listed as a corporation. Now the corporation is on dissolution status or inactive. CAN SOMEONE FROM THAT CORPORATION CLAIM THE PROPERTY ALTHOUGH THE CORPORATION HAS BEEN INACTIVE FOR 2 YEARS ????? please
Hi,

I think an inactive corporation cannot have any interest in the property. If the corporation is doing no business, there's no point in keeping it. It should be dissolved. You can file a certificate of dissolution with the state and issue statutory notices of dissolution to the potential and known creditors. However, it's better to consult a business attorney in this matter.
