can our daughter be added to the deed on our home if we already have a first and second mortgage? her name is not on either mortgage.
if she is added, would she also be responsible for the payments?
if she is added, would she also be responsible for the payments?
Hi Debie!
Welcome to forums!
You can add your daughter's name to the property using a quit claim deed. Merely adding her name to the property won't make her responsible for the mortgage. However, if 3 of you refinance your loan and add her to the mortgage, then she would become responsible for the payments.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
