can a quit claim be made after a property owner is deceased provided their is a will...A property was left to family member, they are to receive the property according to the will can a quit claim now be obtained 1 year later
Hi JfCasson,

Since the owner is deceased, he/she cannot quitclaim it. The property will be distributed through probate to the heirs as per the will. Now, once the property has been transferred to the heirs, they can quitclaim it to whoever they want.
