I and my wife listed on deed together. If I change 'portion' - 10% and 90% - of ownership thru quitclaim deed, what would be side effects?
examples that I can think of are:
- mortgage responsibility, interest %
- property tax

Hi stevehoney!
Welcome to forums!
If both of your names are mentioned on the property deed, then both will remain the owners of the property. As far as other responsibilities are concerned like mortgage and property tax, you can divide it amongst yourself as per your wishes.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hello stevehoney,
Gather documents. In order to start the name change process for your deed, first get together the necessary documentation. For a name change, you'll need your name change document.
