For my ex to show up at my job threatening me to sign a quick claim deed for property we were purchasing together and threaten me to sign it or he will take me to court? I signed it and there was no witness or notary with him - then I later found out that the road was being widened and the city or county was buying a portion of it from him
is it legal for him to show up and threaten you? probably, yes. does that mean you should have signed the deed he handed you? definitely, no.
if he took that deed and filed it, and it was fraudulently completed, then you'll have him over a barrel.
you'll want to consult with a lawyer to rectify all this...it won't be fun but it will be worth your trouble.
