What is the fastest and easiest way to get my ex-wife of the deed of the house. She was to do this in the divorce but has not and it has been over a year?????
Hi Kenneth,
To get your ex-wife off the deed of the house, you can use a quitclaim deed. through the deed she can transfer her share of interest in the property to you thereby making you the sole owner of it. You need to get a quitclaim deed signed by your ex-wife, get it notarized and recorded in the county recorder's office where the property is located.
