legality of quit claim deed

my elderly mother lived with me for 10 years, my sister convinced her that she would be better off with her. she moved a modular home belonging to mom off my property and placed it on property she had purchased. they moved into the home in feb. mom got sick in oct. the sister put her in a nursing home when she was released from the hospital. she had her sign power of attorney papers at that time and kept saying she was going to bring her back home, that never happened. one year later mom again was hospitalized the sister convinced her to sign a quit claim deed while in the hospital gravely ill. she recovered but now had short term memory loss. when she died a year later the house and insurance policies went to the sister that cared for her in her home for less than a full year while i who cared for her for ten years received nothing. she took all of the insurance money there was no funeral and mom was creamated. within a year the sister bought herself two new vehicles with the insurance money. if there is a remedy to this is ther also a statue of limitation as it has been four years since the death five years since the quit claim deed.
families always bring out the best in us. i'm sorry you feel betrayed by your sister. from your description, it pretty much looks like your sister handled things correctly, though i wonder why she was the sole beneficiary of the insurance. i don't know if there is a statute of limitations here. it's worth checking into with a local attorney, though
