I own my home but recently married and would like to convey 50% interest to my husband. Can I do this via a Quitclaim Deed and also put in the Deed my new last name as well?
you cna do a quit cleim deed and add yoru husband by doing quit claim deed.
to change the name, you need to sign the quitclaim deed using your old name as the grantor and your new name will appear on the deed as grantee.

Hi dharris,
You can definitely use a quitclaim deed and transfer 50% ownership of the property to your husband. You can contact an attorney and get the deed drafted from him. Or else, you can even use sample quitclaim deed forms available online to transfer property.
As Sunny has suggested, you will have to write your maiden name as grantor and your husband's name and your married name as grantee to the property.
Thanks
