Quitclaim deed on a Rental

Posted on: 27th Mar, 2013 06:03 am
We just found out yesterday that our landlord quitclaimed the deed of our rental home over to another person back in February. We have not heard from this other person nor has our landlord notified us. Since then we have paid to months rent to her. We found out by accident through the internet. What could this mean for us and have we been paying the wrong person?
Hi Guest!

Welcome to the forums!

You can contact your landlord and check out the whole matter. He will be able to clarify as to whom you need to make the payments.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Welcome Guest,

As you have signed the rental agreement with the previous owner, I guess you may make the payments to him.

You should keep paying on the lease until you have been notified in writing by the other party of any changes.
