what are my rights with a quit claim deed?

my fiance have been together for 21 years he has a son 42 years old wholives with his mother, i have a quit claim deed to the house we live in, which was in my fiance name oeiginally, he has annuities and numerouse accounts with approximate amounts of $500,000.oo which i am not certain where they are. ihave helped him save this money and it was to be our retirement funds, i'm just not sure where thay are and whose name they are in. i am mainly interested in our home and what rights i have solely to this home. i am 72 yrs. old, he is 71 and his oncologist has said he has approximately 2 weeks to live, i am in immediate need of what i need to do to help me. please let me know what i need to do. my fiance has stated to enoirmus people that this house will be mine. what are my rights and what do i need to do. ple ase help.

Hi peggyfathome,

You need to check out the property deed in order to find out whether or not your name is mentioned on it. If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you'll be considered as the owner of the property.
