quit claim deed

I own with my wife a second home property in Gainesville, Fla.
My 18 yrs old daughter, who is living there as a college student in Sta Fe CC is also in the warranty deed.
We want to quit claim to her, in order that she can have Homestead Exemption for 2008. I found that to do so we have to pay Deed Stamps as if selling the property. Is it that true ??

If the home is free and clear then you should be able to quit claim the property to her. there would be no sale so I don't think you will have to pay deed stamps. Contact a local title company and they should be able to clarify this for you.
