Mortgage and deed

If I'm not the mortgage borrower, but my husband and daughter are. Can I still have my name on the deed as a piece of home owning? If my husband dies is the money of his part of the house going to his other daughters, instead of me? They tell me to sign a Quitclaim Deed, what I don't want to do. We are normally married and file a married income tax form.
you asked this question already. i answered your question on your other thread. meanwhile, why do they want you to sign a quit claim deed?

I have no clue. They already both signed all the other escrow papers. I was not there, had to stay home with our other daughter. He brought the quitclaim deed paper with him to sign at a notary office here and to send it back to the escrow company.

Hi h,

In my opinion, you can still have your name on the property deed though your name is not on the mortgage. I guess you need to sign the quitclaim deed in order to add your name to the property deed.

Thanks
