Hi hfc8938axa,

Can you pls provide the entire line that's stated on the quitclaim deed? It's not clear from your post.

The entire line is as follows:

"WITNESSETH that the said first party. for good consideration and for sum of ------------Dollars ($--------------) paid by the said second party, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto the said second party forever, all the right, title, interest and claim. which the said first party has in and to the following described parcel of land, and improvements and appurtenances thereto in the County of----------------------------State of---------------------------to wit: -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the "to wit"?

Hi,

The Notarization section of the Quitclaim Deed contains the following:

"On---------------, before me,----------------------------------------------------
appeared-------------------------------------------------------,personally known to me (or proved to me on the basis of satisfactory evidence) to be the person(s) whose names(s) is/are subscribed to the within instrument and acknowledged to me that he/she/they executed the same in his/her/their authorized capacity(ies), and that by his/her/their signature(s) on the instrument the person(s), or the entity upon behalf of which the person(s) acted, executed the instrument."

Kindly advise what to put in the blank spaces.

Thanks/Regards

As much as i understand, i think the first blank should have the date when you are executing the deed. The second blank space should have name of the person who is conveying the property to you.

I'm not a legal professional, so I'd say that you consult an attorney.

The notary needs to fill this section out. It should be "On (date that document was signed and notarized), before me, (notary's name) appeared (names of all persons that signed the deed)"
