Can I quick deed my home to my son??? He is looking for a home and I am the only one on the acct...What must I do to add my son's name to my property
Hi nikkimouse!

You can add your son's name to the property with the help of a quitclaim deed. To know more about quitclaim deed, you can visit the following link:

Thanks.

nikki, if you have a mortgage on that home, be careful. your lender would have the right to call your loan due and payable, as you are transferring ownership.

as long as you are in good graces with your lender, however, this ought to pose you no harm.

hi nikki,

you have not mentioned whether there is any mortgage or if your son want to purchase a new house on his name or not. if there is any mortgage then before doing a quit claim deed you need to talk to your lender as you are transferring the ownership. you can take the help of a good attorney who can talk to your lender on your behalf as sometimes they don't want to listen to the borrowers.
