i am married to a foreigner. she is not in the states. i am buying a house in las vegas an attorney told me to send her a quit claim deed for her to sign and notorize.
if she gets it notorized in the philippines will it be valid?

i don't know why a notary in the Philippines wouldn't be valid. what did "an attorney" have to say about it?
When i spoke with the attorney i failed to ask if the notary in Philippines would be valid here in States. Should I try to get that answer from the County Recorder?
call the lawyer, in my estimation. but a notary ought to be a notary, no matter where.
Thanks George, its just that the Philippines is so corrupt that you can get something notarized without even being present. Later a good lawyer might be able to shoot holes in the validity.
yeah and guess what...you can get things notarized in the good ole usa without even having to appear in front of the notary, and you can find notaries who have no idea that the oath they swore to when sworn in had anything to do with anything.
but i understand what you're driving at - how can you be sure?
