i am in the process of divorce. we both agreeded that i will keep the house. however he wants his name off the loan before or by the time the divorce is final. i was unemployed for one year. i am currently working and have been since may of this year. during the time of my unemployment my good credit went bad, very bad. what programs if any will help me to refinance, or what kind of assistance can i qualify for under these conditions. i don't want to be stuck with him until my credit worthiness is a1 again nor do i want to move into a apartment. can i afford to maintain the morgage and the bills yes.? will he move out? no!!!!!

If you do not have a good credit score and equity in your property, then you won't be able to get a mortgage refinance. As you can afford to pay off the mortgage dues, you should keep on paying it unless your score improves. Once your scores improve, you can apply for a mortgage refinance to remove your spouse's name from the loan.
