i recently am receiving social security disability.in order for me to receive ssi,icannot have property in my name.i have mortgage payments. property is in another state.my brother is on contract also. he is on it for tax purposes. i am primary on contract. my domestic partnerand i bought house in 2000.we refinanced a couple of years later,because partner had not worked for a year,and my brother went on contract. since then,partner went onsocial security,retired.now i am on disability. i need ssi benefits,(medi-cal).can i quit claim to domestic partner of 30 years? leave my brother on contract also? would that be okay instead of expensive refinance. i need help.

You can quitclaim your property to your domestic partner but if you want to remove your name from the mortgage, then your domestic partner will have to refinance the mortgage in his or her name.
