Do I need to sign a Quit Claim Deed?

Posted on: 15th Apr, 2010 05:52 am
i am in the process of a divorce.
my name is not on the deed or the loan for the home.
do i need to sign a quit claim deed or will the divorce decree terminate my dower rights?
Hi Teresa!

Welcome to forums!

As your name is not on the mortgage deed or on the property deed, you won't have to sign the quit claim deed. As far as I can understand, your divorce decree will let you know about your dower rights.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
