The morgage co has worked with me on a payment I can afford according to my income so I will not loose my home. My husband had to sign on the first part and now the second part. He abandonded the home in June 2008 and I moved back in in July 2008. There was one program I didn't qualify for but they found another I did
under the new programs so I could stay. The bank told me if he would sign a quit claim that I could stay here and they gave me the payment amount and how many years it would take to pay it off. Does the fact that they found a program checking on my income that my ex's name can come off the loan as well as the deed? I live in North Carolina

Hi mtchielb!
Welcome to forums!
If your husband signs a quit claim deed and transfers the property to you, then you would become the sole owner of the property. However, I doubt whether or not it would remove his name from the loan. You should speak to the lender and clarify the whole issue.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
