two family members own said property and one of the two wants to relinquish ownership to other member. would a quit claim deed work for that?

A quit claim deed will help one of the owners to transfer the property solely to the other owner. The person who wants to transfer the property to the other owner should contact a real estate attorney and get the quit claim deed drafted.
