My dad passed and the property was quitclaimed to me two months before his death with life estate interest for he and his wife. Does his wife still have ownership to this property or do I?
Welcome neeterberry,
You are the owner of the property but as your father's wife has life estate rights on the property, she will be able to stay in the house until death.

Since Dad built her a new home on a different location and property, does she retain life estate rights to the property I own? If so, what are they?
Hi neeterberry,
If the property deed has a clause mentioning life estate rights for your sister, then she will be able to stay in the property until death.
Thanks

Since Dad built her a new home on a different piece of property that he willed to her upon his death, what life estate rights does she have to my property?
I am questioning the rights of my step-mother to my property... when Dad passed away, his & his wife's home and the property it sits upon was willed to her. But the property I have was quit-claimed deeded to me by them both with life estate clause. Since she doesn't live on THIS property does she have any other rights toward it in any way? For instance if I wanted to sell or will it to someone, do I have the right to do that or does she?
