Is there any reason I would file a gift deed instead of a quitclaim deed to give my husband interest in our home?
Hi Guest,
You can use either of the two - a quitclaim deed or a gift deed to transfer your property to your husband. Both are legal documents transferring property from one person to another. However, you should remember that a gift deed is mainly used when you're transferring the property as a gift to someone.
Thanks

You need to check how the gist deed can affect you in terms of taxes
You may need to pay gift taxes
