In aug 2007 I made out a quitclaim deed an put my wife on it. We have been married for 3 year and i have owned the home for 25 year before getting married to he. 7 months after i made out the quitclaim deed my wife filed for divorce. What happens now.
Welcome RP.

You have added your wife on the deed. So she is also an owner of the property and has all the rights to claim her share or the equity. Is it a mortgaged property and is she also on the mortgage?

Did you deliver the deed to your (new) ex-wife? If so, you have given her the house, and you have no claim to it.

If you hadn't and you lived in a community property state, she would only have been entitled to about 10% of the house.
